Our Cases

Xiaohongshu has become the default research platform for beauty in China. Small and indie brands are rushing to it — not because it's affordable, but because it's where trust is built.

The brands that win are the ones that start early, build an audience, and prove demand before they commit to a storefront. That's exactly what our Pre-Step and Step 01 are for.

Step 01

Step 02

Founder's Message

What we do differently

I founded Kate Benji Paris and took it into Chinese retail myself. Physical counters at Facesss in Lane Crawford. Regulatory approval across France, Hong Kong, and Mainland China — three jurisdictions, one at a time, each with its own paperwork and its own timeline. Tax-bonded distribution. It worked. Nothing could happen if i never met my team in the work in progress. However, i met them not on the first try but third.

Kelvin didn't just clear the path. He explained it. That's rarer than it should be.

In the Kate Benji Paris launch, Kain was the one who understood that a French brand entering China isn't a translation exercise. It's a cultural one. She knew how to earn a place in Chinese culture without the brand looking like it was trying to. That's not a skill you learn. It's a skill you either have or you don't.

I built Knock China because most brands spend a million dollars before they find out whether China wants their product. That's not ambition. That's a guess made expensive. It is what most small brands got it fatally wrong.

We change the order and the structure. Screen the formula first. Import under our company. Prove the audience before the storefront. Build in your name. Hand you the keys.

Only then — only when the data justifies it — do we build the company, the storefront, and the registrations. And we build them in your name.

She founded Kate Benji Paris and brought it into Hong Kong retail myself. Physical counters at Facesss in Lane Crawford. Full regulatory approval across France, Hong Kong, and Mainland China. The brand still runs today.

Twelve years in luxury brand management before that — Dior, Swarovski, Lane Crawford.

What this means for you: Step 01 and Step 03 are run by someone who has personally imported a brand into China, cleared it through three regulatory jurisdictions, and opened retail counters. Not a consultant who has read the regulations. An operator who has worked them.

Kain — Social Media Engagement Director. Based in Shanghai.

Seven years inside the China market. Entertainment, culture, streetwear, fashion, and international IP.

Her work: 0-to-1 brand incubation, artist IP commercialisation, and end-to-end market entry and operations for international brands in China.

Campaigns she has led have generated over 10 billion total impressions — for international brands including drew house, CACTUS JACK, and PLEASURES, and featuring talent including Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, Ouyang Nana, and Alice Ho.

Core expertise:

  • Brand strategy and localisation

  • PR and campaign

  • IP and integrated marketing

  • Content-to-commerce

  • KOL and KOC engagement — direct creator relationships across Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Weibo, and WeChat

At L'Oréal, Kelvin led product development and project management, and coordinated import, export, and domestic customs clearance — working across suppliers, R&D, procurement, logistics, and government departments to bring products into the China market.

  • Full product lifecycle — concept, R&D, sampling, testing, launch
